Susan’s Story

I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Minnesota House of RepresentatiSusan Witt with brown backgroundves which represents the greater part of Blaine. As a retired teacher from the Spring Lake Park School District, I have been involved in public service most of my life, through my church and various community activities.

Our constitution states that “Government is instituted for the security, benefit and protection of the people, in which all political power is inherent.” I want to make a difference and help make your voice heard. We have made progress in improving our economy, but we need to keep Minnesota moving forward.

  • As a teacher and parent, I know how essential education is to the future of Minnesota and understand some of the barriers to learning that need to be addressed.
  • As our church’s volunteer coordinator for Family Promise in Anoka County, which houses families who are homeless, I have seen and heard the effects our economy has had on struggling families.
  • As a teacher of 31 years, I know the importance of working together and collaboration.
  • As a volunteer at my church, school and community, I have shown that I am willing to work hard to accomplish a task and be dependable and trustworthy.

My ability to work with and listen to all sides of an issue will be an asset to being a great representative. I will work hard to knock on every door in the district and talk and listen to every voter I meet. I hope I can count on your support in the fall. Call me if you have any questions at 763-780-1372.
